Simple, evocative drawings perfectly complement the story's warmth and generous spirit. A great choice for young readers and an excellent read aloud." Sheep and Goat was also chosen as a premier selection by the Junior Library Guild (U.S.) for their Fall 2006 program.

Piggy, by Mireille Geus (Dutch title: Big). Published in the US in October, 2008, by Front Street, Asheville, North Caroling. From a review from "Teens Read Too" on the Amazon site: "The story is short but moves quickly. Originally written in Dutch, the story has been translated into English without losing the momentum and flow of the story. It is easy to see why this story received the Golden Slate Pencil, the most prestigious award in children's literature in the Netherlands."

Departure Time, by Truus Matti (Dutch title: Vertrektijd). Published in the US in 2009 by Namelos. In 2011Departure Time was named a Mildred L. Batchelder Honor Book by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association. "The Batchelder Award is a citation awarded to an American publisher for a children's book considered to be the most outstanding of those books originally published in a language other than English in a country other than the United States, and subsequently translated into English and published in the United States." Each year there is one Batchelder Award winner and two Honor Books.Departure Time was also one of 40 international books listed by the United States Board on Books for Young People for its 2011 Honor List.
